    Exam Details

    The CFM exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (160 scored, 20 unscored) in a randomized order. Candidates can return to omitted questions and are warned before submission. Exams are offered through Prometric CBT or online proctoring.

    Passing is established by the Angoff method, with score fairness ensured through statistical equating.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants should fulfill the required FM education and work experience. Internships do not count toward the FM experience

    Bachelor’s or Master’s level Facility Management degree: 3 years
    No FM-specific degree: 5 years

    Certification Process
    Pass/fail results are delivered instantly after completing the exam. Final confirmation comes within 20 days if the ethical conditions are satisfied. The credential is issued once all requirements are satisfied, including ethics documentation.

    Ethics Requirement
    All applicants have to take an ethics evaluation within 30 days of passing the test. If not done, the credential is deactivated.
